TAKING CARE OF THE GUESTS

The simple fact is the church building and parking lot are worn out and need upgrading. No surprise with Minnesota winters and given the tons of foot traffic from all the activity throughout the week at Resurrection. It really comes down to taking care of our guests–and to make room for more guests, which has been happening year after year as we’ve grown from 171 persons on average attendance in 1959 (when this current facility was constructed), to recently with 470 persons in worship.

THEY WILL VISIT, BUT WHAT NEXT?

Having a place to park and entering an updated building, people will be inspired. But will they take the next step and connect with others? Will they gather to study the Scriptures and find meaning and purpose for their lives? Will they discover the blessings of Christian fellowship and discover hope and redemption in times of trouble? Based on this church’s track record, we believe they will.

MOVING FORWARD

God has blessed and used Resurrection for many, many years. Thousands of people have found a community here where they are growing in their faith on a journey to know, love, and serve God. And so we continue the work, committed to providing a place for every guest we encounter – for now and years to come.

PROJECT UPDATE

The parking lot expansion is well underway and interior renovations will start taking place in September The contractor has provided a preliminary schedule of overall activities with a mid-Jan 2019 projected completion date. Please watch out for construction barriers in the parking lot and be gracious as we work out space needs for groups and classes during the renovation.
