March FoodShare Challenge

Loading Events

Now that you’ve got all that extra muscle in your arms from removing record February snowfalls, put it to good use by picking up extra bags of groceries and bringing them to Resurrection in March for the annual FoodShare Challenge drive. The food donations will be stockpiled in the sanctuary culminating in a “food pass” at the Overflow service to the awaiting truck outside our doors headed for Hastings Family Service on March 31st. Even better, all food and money donations will be matched, effectively doubling what we give to help others have access to healthy food.

The largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign brings together various community organizations, businesses, and faith communities to help stock nearly 300 food shelves statewide. In 2018, over $8.1 million dollars and 5.5 million pounds of food were raised by Minnesota food shelves and Minnesota FoodShare.
